Crest Environmental Limited are asbestos removal contractors providing asbestos surveys and services based in St Helens, Merseyside, serving the North West of the UK. Crest Environmental was formed in December 1999 by directors Phil Hamlin and Colin Latimer. Both had been involved in the asbestos industry for many years (Phil since 1975 and Colin since 1983) and both had spent the preceding few years running the asbestos division of Qualitech Services Ltd.

Crest quickly became established and gained many new clients with a
philosophy of providing only the highest standards of technical
excellence, whilst still maintaining a competitive price structure. The office for the first 3 years was in Haydock, Merseyside, but in June 2003 the operation was moved to nearby St Helens following the purchase of larger premises.

Crest are full members of ARCA (Asbestos Removal Contractor Association) and were one of the first few to be awarded the ARCA Site Audit Accreditation Scheme Quality Assurance Award in October 2001. Crest are also certified with Constructionline and have achieved SAFE Contractor certification with National Britannia.

Our Location

Situated in St. Helens Crest are ideally placed to provide asbestos removal, surveys and services in a 100 miles including Merseyside and the North West of the UK. However, due to the high level of service offered, Crest also operate nationwide for many of their regular clients. In addition since 2004 Crest have also undertaken projects overseas completing contracts in Cyprus and The Falkland Islands.

At Crest you can be assured of the personal attention of Phil Hamlin and Colin Latimer who maintain a hands-on approach. The third key member of the organisation is Ian Wood General Manager, Ian oversees the day to day operation of the Contracts whilst also heading the Commercial/Accounting section of the Company.
